The full form of PSC is the Public Service Commission.

The Public Service Commission is a government agency. It is a central administration that is in charge of overseeing the exams that are held for various job categories. The Public Service Commission was established under Articles 315 to 323 of the Indian Constitution.

This body is known as the Union Public Service Commission in the United States, and it is responsible for conducting exams for recruitment to Indian services at the national level as well as higher Central services. The UPSC, for example, conducts the IAS exam every year. This exam serves as a gateway to Group A and B services.

At the state level, this body is known as the State Public Service Commission, and it is responsible for administering exams for the recruitment of officers into state agencies as well as providing recommendations and advice to the governor on disciplinary cases. The Governor appoints the board’s members.

The State Public Service Commission and the Union Public Service Commission are both made up of the same people. The UPSC, on the other hand, has a far broader jurisdiction than the State PSC. The UPSC has authority over the entire country, whereas the SPCS’s jurisdiction is limited to a single state.

State Public Service Commission Exam

The PSC exam is held to hire persons for various government positions in each state. Government employment are crucial for the entire country since they ensure a consistent wage and smooth operation of the system. However, selecting the right applicants for the position is a difficult endeavour. And it is through PSC Exams that the Public Service Commission does this.

The exam is divided into three stages: a preliminary examination, a main examination, and an interview. In order to appear in the interview, the candidate must pass both the preliminary and main examinations. The exam is usually done in an objective format, however the syllabus varies from state to state. There will be a lot of rivalry because there will be lakhs of people competing for a few hundred places in the exam.
